Certified Translation

Certified Translation

Court-registered sworn translation for immigration, official authority submissions, and academic recognition.

Certified translation — traduzione giurata in Italian law — is the form of translation recognised by Italian courts, notaries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other public authorities. It is performed by a translator registered with a court tribunal, who provides a sworn declaration that the translation is faithful and complete to the original.

BarkTranslate’s certified translators are registered with the Tribunale di Genova. We cover certified translation for all standard document categories: civil status documents (birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, divorce decrees), academic qualifications, professional certificates, police clearance records, and property documentation.

The most common reason clients need certified translation is immigration. Whether you are applying for Italian residency and need foreign documents translated into Italian, or you are an Italian national applying for status abroad and need Italian documents in a foreign-language certified translation, we handle both directions.

For documents requiring use in countries party to the Hague Apostille Convention, an apostille from the competent Italian authority is required in addition to the certified translation. We advise on the requirements for your specific situation and coordinate with apostille services where needed.

All documents delivered with sworn declarations, accepted by the Italian consulate without objection.
