Software localisation is different from document translation. A UI string has a character limit, a context, and a specific function. The translation of a button label that reads naturally in Italian but exceeds the field width breaks the interface. We translate with context, not just text.

We work with all standard software localisation formats: XLIFF, JSON, PO, STRINGS, RESW, and most others. For each project, we request context — screenshots, design files, or a staging environment access — before translating. UI strings without context are harder to get right.

Help documentation and knowledge bases are a significant part of software localisation that companies often leave until last. Users consult help content in moments of difficulty. A poorly translated knowledge base is a support ticket. A well-translated one is a resolved issue.

For app store listings, we translate and adapt: the metadata requirements, character limits, and keyword optimisation logic differ between markets. An Italian App Store listing that reads like a literal translation of the English performs below a listing written for Italian search behaviour.
